Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and reviseus team, the operator of reviseus. They apply when you create an account or use the service. If you do not agree, please do not use reviseus.
1. The service
reviseus helps research labs run internal peer review. Labs can manage papers and reviewers, run review rounds against rubric criteria, track venue deadlines and use AI-assisted checks. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised access.
- New labs are subject to approval by the platform administrator, who may decline a request without giving a reason.
- Lab coordinators are responsible for who they invite, the permissions they grant and the content managed in their lab.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the manuscripts, reviews and other content you upload ("your content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process and display your content to the users authorised to see it. This includes sending it to our AI provider for the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. We use this license only to operate the service.
You confirm that you have the right to upload your content. Where a manuscript has co-authors, this includes their agreement to share it on reviseus.
4. Confidentiality of peer review
If you review or otherwise get access to someone else's manuscript, you agree to:
- keep it and its review confidential, and not share, publish or distribute it;
- use it only to carry out the review, and never for your own research or publications;
- not upload it to AI tools or other services outside reviseuswithout the authors' permission;
- declare any conflict of interest to your lab coordinator.
5. AI-assisted features
AI output such as review drafts, venue recommendations, criteria extraction, and empirical-standards and citation checks is generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. It is a starting point only. You are responsible for any review or decision you submit, and for checking AI suggestions first.
6. Venue and deadline information
Venue details, submission links and deadlines are partly collected automatically from public sources and may be outdated. Always confirm them on the venue's official website. We are not responsible for missed deadlines.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- upload malware or content that is unlawful, defamatory or harassing;
- try to get into accounts, labs or data you are not authorised to access, or probe, scan or disrupt the service;
- scrape the service or access it automatically in ways that put an unreasonable load on it;
- impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts or labs that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. Where appropriate, we will tell you the reason.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of important files.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data, lost opportunities or rejected submissions. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will update the date above. You accept the current version when you create an account and each time you submit a paper. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by [the laws of the Republic of Türkiye]. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country.
